Assalam Alaikum Teenagers,

Have you ever thought of making a difference for a cause? Well now is your chance to show your identity to the people around you as not only an active Muslim, but as a Muslim who plays his/her role in helping people around him/her.

As Muslim teenagers surrounded by a non-Muslim lifestyle, we find ourselves facing challenges. We have duties to preserve our Islamic culture and moral values, and defending our religion and our identities against waves of negative influence. Luckily, the topics of our meetings won’t be

just about our duties. Most of the time, depending on ideas and ability, we will be planning and brainstorming. Here are just a few ideas I had in mind to get us started, inshallah.

  • Recycling Programs for our Muslim society, especially for children

  • Community Service

  • Hang out’s between teenagers from different cultures and religions

  • Fundraisers for refugee families

  • Global Warming Awareness

  • Summer Fair’s

  • Etc.

All of the ideas listed can be put into action by us as a team. The RICMA Youth 4 Youth will be fun and will show good examples of teenage Muslims. I am a Muslim teen myself, from the U.S, and I am very excited to start making changes around us. Inshallah, meeting days and updates will be discussed during our first meeting.
