HFI
receives Federal grant! - US Dept of Justice (STOP
VAWA)
Greetings of Peace Dear Friends and Supporters, The Healthy Families Initiative (HFI) is honored to announce it has been awarded a 3-year grant from the United States Department of Justice, STOP Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) grant program. HFI was chosen unanimously as one of two recipients of this generous grant amongst all other applicant organizations. All praises are due to God! The grant is available immediately throughout 2013, and will support the continued work and mission of HFI within the Rhode Island Muslim community, including mutually beneficial collaboration with the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence (RICADV). May God reward all the volunteers who assisted in the grant application process, especially sister Kathleen Taylor, and may He guide HFI in using this substantial grant for the betterment of our community and the society at large. Sincerely, Enith Morillo HFI Communications Director “The best amongst you are the best to his wives and I am the best to my wives amongst you” Prophet Muhammad, saws, as reported by Ibn Majah Important Links ![]()
