In The News
Keeping in contact with the local media, law
enforcement officials, and political leaders is important in forwarding
our goals. Through press releases, various events, and other
correspondence, RICMA looks to reach and educate the RI population about
Islam and the diverse group of Muslims living in the state. In addition,
we try to promote important events -- like the opening of the first
Islamic school in Rhode Island, ISRI -- and spread awareness of our
opinions on world events and local politics. RICMA also looks for
news and magazine articles, television spots, and other relevant
information in order to compile them here for easy reference. These
articles are provided under the fair use clause under the limitations on
exclusive rights ( 107). It reads that "...for purposes such as
criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, or research,
is not an infringement of copyright." RICMA also ensures that any and
all documents provided here maintain their original copyright and a link
back to the article if available. Click on links
